About the Role:

We are seeking current or former educators to join a high-impact project evaluating the design, usability, and geospatial accuracy of digital map interfaces. This role requires a detail-oriented approach to assess aesthetic quality, functionality, and personalized location recommendations based on strict project guidelines. 

If you are someone who:

  • Has experience teaching and working directly with students, bringing valuable perspective to user
  • Is proficient with iPhone/iOS devices and enjoys exploring mobile technology. 
  •  Excels at following detailed guidelines and spotting Trust & Safety issues with precision
  • Thrives in fast-paced, high volume workflows and can handle up to 1,500 tasks per cycle.
  •  Communicates fluently in English (US) with a knack for detailed reporting

What You Will Do:

  • Evaluate the aesthetic quality, readability, and usability of digital map designes.  
  • Analyze geospatial accuracy, viewport framing, and content relevance. 
  • Review and validate personalized location recommendations for logic andusefulness. 
  • Identify and tag specific issues (e.g., “Icons not properly masked,” “Labels too small”). 
  • Follow detailed project instructions and meet tight deadlines (48 hours to 5 business days). 

Requirements:

  • Current or former educators with experience working directly with students at any level.
  • To be located and have the right to work in the United States.
  • An existing, actively used Gmail account with prior usage history on Google Maps.
  • Familiarity with geospatial tools or evaluation interfaces (e.g., Tileworks or side-by-side interfaces) is a plus.
  • Must be iPhone/iOS user, as the current focus is on the mobile experience.
  • Ability to critically evaluate visual design, spatial quality, and user-focused content.
  • Opt-in consent to allow access to limited activity history for task personalization.
