News Producer – KTBS 3 & KPXJ 21
Are you a creative storyteller with a knack for producing fast‑paced, engaging newscasts? KTBS 3 and KPXJ 21 are seeking a dynamic, self‑starting News Producer to join our team. If you thrive in a collaborative environment and can bring sharp editorial judgment to every broadcast, we want to hear from you.
Remote or hybrid work arrangements may be considered for the right candidate.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the preparation of daily newscasts
- Research, write, and produce compelling stories for air
- Manage story placement, teases, timing, graphics, and overall production flow
- Coordinate graphic creation and satellite feeds from various sources
- Work closely with the control room during live productions
- Knowledge of current events
🔹 Qualifications
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Solid understanding of social media and online publishing
- Clear and concise communicator under tight deadlines
- Strong organizational skills and news judgment
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening
