Content & Communications Internship - Summer 2026

THE DAILY GRIND PODCAST CONTENT & COMMUNICATIONS INTERNSHIP

The objective of the Daily Grind Podcast Podcast Content & Communications Internship is to expose you to how a organization such as the Kelly Johnson Foundation is expanding podcast and content communications and leveraging our omnichannel and growing the Daily Grind podcast in the process. You will be tasked as a part-time intern for the Summer 2026 term with the below responsibilities. 

This internship will prove to be an incredible experience for anyone interested in media, communications, marketing, or sports business who are eager to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Support the coordination and execution of the Daily Grind Podcast’s strategic communications plan
  • Assist in hosting podcast episodes by preparing for and participating in interviews with industry professionals, entrepreneurs, and thought leaders
  • Research prospective guests and help develop structured episode agendas to support engaging, high-quality conversations
  • Conduct outreach to potential guests via email and social media to expand the podcast’s network and secure new interviews
  • Create, edit, and publish short-form video content for platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn
  • Help manage episode publishing across platforms (Spotify, Apple, etc.)
  • Assist in planning episode themes and aligning content with broader marketing and communications goals
  • Support storytelling, branding, and content strategy
  • Team collaboration in a virtual environment

 

Requirements

Click below to send us your resume! You must be a full-time college student that maintains a 3.0 GPA or higher and willing to commit 10 hours a week per semester to be considered. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND checking out the Daily Grind Podcast and listening to at least 2 episodes and submitting an Apple rate/review prior to applying to the role and for the interview process.

 

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in progress.
  • Must be available to work 10 hours per week.
  • Must be legally able to work the US or Canada.

 

Job Requirements

  • Curious, confident and articulate
  • Strong interest in podcasting, media, marketing, or communications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and short-form video content creation
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a virtual setting
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in outreach and content development
  • Skill in Microsoft Word, Excel, Video Editing
