DeepBrain Academy (DeepBrainAcademy.org), based in Tenafly, New Jersey, is the educational arm of this vision—a premier learning center dedicated to developing advanced thinking, problem-solving skills, and academic excellence in students from elementary through high school. Through high-quality instruction in competition math, STEM, and strategy-based learning, we help students build deep understanding and achieve outstanding academic outcomes.

We aim to help students develop deep thinking, problem-solving skills, and long-term academic excellence through carefully designed learning experiences.

Position Overview

We are looking for a UI/UX Design Intern who is passionate about product design, user experience, and education.

This is not a typical internship — you will work on real products used by students and directly contribute to improving user engagement and learning outcomes. You will collaborate closely with the founder and team to shape the design of our platform.

Key Responsibilities

🔹 User Experience Design

  • Design intuitive and engaging user flows for our learning platform
  • Improve onboarding, retention, and overall user journey

🔹 UI Design & Prototyping

  • Create wireframes, mockups, and high-fidelity designs
  • Build interactive prototypes (Figma preferred)

🔹 User Research & Feedback

  • Analyze user behavior and feedback to identify pain points
  • Suggest data-driven design improvements

🔹 Product Iteration

  • Work closely with engineering and product teams to implement designs
  • Continuously iterate based on real user usage

What You Will Gain

Qualifications

  • Strong interest in UI/UX design, product design, or HCI
  • Familiarity with design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, etc.)
  • Basic understanding of user-centered design principles
  • Strong attention to detail and visual design sense
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and willing to take ownership

Preferred (not required):

  • Experience designing for web or mobile products
  • Interest in education, psychology, or learning science
