Field Coordinator

Jason is seeking a field coordinator for his current campaign. The field coordinator will help build grassroots support by recruiting, training, and managing volunteers to conduct voter outreach, such as canvassing, phone banking, and organizing small events like house parties and coffee hours. They are responsible for setting and hitting volunteer recruitment and voter contact goals, managing volunteer databases, and driving Get Out The Vote (GOTV) operations. This position will report to the campaign manager.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Volunteer Management: Recruiting, training, and retaining volunteers to execute neighborhood canvassing and phone banking
• Voter Outreach Strategy: Executing field plans that include door-to-door knocking, text banking, and voter registration
• Data Management: Utilizing tools like VAN (Voter Action Network) or MiniVan to track canvassing metrics and ensure data accuracy
• Goal Tracking: Meeting and tracking the numerical targets for voter contacts and volunteer events
• Local Engagement: Organizing community events, engaging with local stakeholders, and distributing campaign materials
• GOTV Implementation: Leading intensive "Get Out The Vote" efforts in the final weeks before an election to maximize voter turnout

Time Commitment: This is a part-time position estimated at 20 hours per week. The election is September 8. The get-out-the-vote (GOTV) is three weeks prior to the September 8 and availability during those three weeks is important to the role. 

The majority of work for this position will occur within Providence's Ward 3 and the potential candidate will need to be available for in-person work in Providence.
