Sales Rep: Waste/Recycling Operations

ALL QUESTIONS SHOULD BE DIRECTED TOWARDS: us.hiring@micro-agi.com

About Us

MicroAGI is an AI lab pioneering the next generation of robotics. We partner with businesses, paying their teams to film the real-world tasks that teach robots how to operate. In March 2026, we paid out $5M+ to 10k+ operators in 12+ countries. As one of Europe's premier robotics startups, we have partnerships with $1T+ tech firms, and are expanding heavily in the United States.

The Role

Help us bring robots closer to the real world. We're looking for a sales rep to build partnerships with waste management and recycling businesses across the U.S. The target list includes waste haulers, recycling facilities, scrap yards, material recovery facilities, composting operations, dumpster rental companies, and hazardous waste handlers. The job is finding the right operators, getting in front of facility managers, route supervisors, and yard owners, and onboarding partners whose truck drivers, sorters, equipment operators, yard workers, and processing line staff do the kind of physical, repetitive work that produces valuable robotics training data. This role will directly shape how MicroAGI expands into the waste management, recycling, and materials recovery industry.

What You'll Do

  • Scout and qualify B2B leads across the waste management and recycling sector, including residential and commercial waste haulers, roll-off dumpster rental companies, recycling collection services, material recovery facilities, single-stream recycling processors, scrap metal yards, ferrous and non-ferrous metal recyclers, electronic waste recyclers, composting and organic waste processing facilities, construction and demolition debris recyclers, hazardous waste collection and disposal companies, medical waste handlers, industrial waste processors, and transfer station operators
  • Run outreach campaigns through LinkedIn, Apollo.io, cold email, cold calling, and in-person visits targeting waste hauling company owners, recycling facility managers, scrap yard operators, MRF supervisors, route managers, and environmental services directors
  • Build and maintain relationships with waste company owners, recycling plant managers, scrap yard operators, transfer station supervisors, composting facility leads, and referral contacts across the waste and recycling industry
  • Take calls, run meetings, and handle end-to-end onboarding of new waste and recycling partners and data collection participants
  • Coordinate headset logistics and participant operations across partner sorting lines, scrap yards, collection routes, transfer stations, and processing floors
  • Keep the CRM tight by tracking pipeline activity across waste hauling, recycling, scrap metal, composting, and hazardous waste leads, flagging opportunities, and helping build the sales playbook for the waste management vertical
  • Get out in the field with flyers at waste industry meetups, recycling equipment dealers, scrap metal conferences, and environmental services trade shows, and represent Shift at events like WasteExpo, Resource Recycling Conference, and ISRI conventions

What You'll Need

  • No hesitation around cold outreach, whether that's phone calls, emails, DMs, or walking into a recycling facility office or scrap yard and starting a conversation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially when explaining something new to people who haven't heard of it before
  • Self-directed and organized, comfortable working without being micromanaged
  • Interest in AI, robotics, waste technology, circular economy, sustainability, or the future of work is a plus but not required
  • Experience with CRM tools like GoHighLevel or Apollo is helpful, but willingness to learn is enough
  • Familiarity with waste hauling, recycling operations, scrap metal processing, composting, material recovery, environmental services, or the waste management industry is a bonus
