Community Liaison Intern

Femergy® is a 501(c)3 nonprofit based in Columbus, OH, that equips girls and women with the tools, experiences, and support to activate their full power for economic mobility through education, leadership development, wellness, and career pathways.

We are looking for a detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated individual eager to contribute their skills to support our mission. As a Community Liaison Intern, you’ll interact directly with our community (including volunteers, donors, participants, and general community members) in-person and digitally to communicate our services, retain support and participation, and share our impact.

 

What You’ll Do (Training Provided):

  • Enter data into CRM systems (Blackbaud, WIX, etc)
  • Manage general correspondence (e.g., thank you letters to donors, newsletter communications, etc.).
  • Conduct outreach and follow up with potential volunteers to determine their best placement within the organization
  • Generate development materials (flyers, banners, etc.)
  • Work collaboratively with the Director of Development to plan and implement logistics for community events
  • Work collaboratively with the Director of Development to research and contact potential sponsors and partners for fundraising events
  • Attend community events to share information about Femergy®
  • Attend programming events as needed to support logistics and capture basic content for social media
  • Attend and actively participate in staff meetings, agency events, and community partnerships, as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Development and Femergy® Directors.
  • Maintain a positive work environment by exhibiting professionalism with staff and clientele, and maintain organizational value by keeping information confidential.

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Must be located in Columbus, OH
  • Reliability and discretion with sensitive information.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Must be comfortable making phone calls

  • Bilingual (Spanish & English)
  • Experience with Canva
  • Strong creativity and research skills
