Marketing Coordinator Intern

Position Overview: 

Are you passionate about digital storytelling, content creation, and using marketing for social impact? Step’s Foundation, Inc. is seeking a creative and motivated Marketing Coordinator Intern to support our nonprofit’s marketing and communications efforts. This unpaid hybrid internship provides hands-on experience in digital marketing, content creation, and storytelling, while also requiring in-person participation at programs, events, and outreach activities to capture real-time content.

Interns will work closely with program staff to gather photos, videos, and stories from the field and transform them into engaging content across digital platforms. This role is ideal for students looking to gain experience in nonprofit marketing, branding, and analytics while contributing to meaningful, mission-driven work.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and distribute newsletters highlighting programs, events, and success stories
  • Create, schedule, and manage social media content across platforms
  • Attend events and outreach activities to capture photos, videos, and real-time content
  • Design graphics and marketing materials using Canva
  • Support storytelling efforts by creating content based on program impact and community engagement
  • Collaborate with team members to plan and maintain content calendars
  • Assist in executing marketing campaigns and outreach strategies
  • Track and analyze social media and campaign performance, providing insights for improvement
  • Ensure consistency in branding, messaging, and tone across all platforms
     

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in marketing, communications, public relations, digital media, or a related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Canva (preferred)
  • Basic understanding of social media analytics and performance tracking
  • Willingness to attend in-person events and outreach activities in the Kissimmee area
  • Creative, organized, and able to manage multiple projects
  • Interest in nonprofit work, youth development, and mental health advocacy
