Technical Recruiter - Skilled Trades

The Role

As a Technical Recruiter at SOLID, you’ll manage full-cycle recruiting for skilled trades professionals supporting projects nationwide. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role built for people who move fast, take ownership, and thrive in a performance-driven environment.

Recruiting experience is helpful, but not required. We care more about effort, mindset, and follow-through.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit skilled trades professionals including (but not limited to):
    1. Electricians (Apprentice, Journeyman, Licensed)
    2. Low-Voltage Technicians
    3. Structured Cabling Technicians
    4. Fiber Technicians & Splicers
    5. General Construction & Trade Labor
  • Source candidates through multiple channels:
    1. ATS/CRM database
    2. Job boards (Indeed, LinkedIn, etc.)
    3. Referrals and redeployment
    4. Direct outreach and networking
  • Conduct phone screens and technical vetting
  • Present qualified candidates quickly and accurately to internal stakeholders
  • Coordinate onboarding, compliance, and deployment
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the ATS (pay rates, availability, certifications, project history)
  • Build long-term candidate relationships and support redeployment
  • Partner closely with sales and account managers to anticipate workforce needs

What We’re Looking For

  • Recruiting or staffing experience preferred, but not required
  • Backgrounds in sales, construction, military, athletics, customer-facing roles, or fast-paced environments translate well
  • Competitive mindset with a strong desire to win and outperform goals
  • Comfortable on the phone and confident communicating with skilled trades professionals
  • Self-starter who takes ownership and doesn’t need hand-holding
  • Ability to work with urgency while managing multiple open roles
  • Coachable, resilient, and able to handle rejection without slowing down
  • Organized and detail-oriented — accuracy matters in pay rates, compliance, and deployment
  • Motivated by metrics, results, and growth opportunities
