Located a short distance from downtown Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, LGZA serves a wide mix of customers through its offerings of zip-lining, high ropes course, team building, mountain biking/hiking trails, climbing tower, event space rentals and special events.
Situated near a highly visible and well-known vacation destination that also serves a large number of conference/retreat guests, LGZA is well situated to serve the populations of Northeastern Illinois and Southeastern Wisconsin.

Never guided before? LGZA’s extensive guide training will teach you everything you need to know; from aerial safety protocols to the best customer service strategies. No previous experience required. We train with the intent to hire the finest guides!
*In order to become a Guide you must complete our mandatory 40 hour Guide Training and pass a physical rescue test and a written test at the end of training.* (You will be paid for training.)

Job Overview
This position is responsible for ensuring the safety and exceptional experience of all zip line canopy tour and high ropes excursion participants. Each guide is required to work in a fast paced, physical, social, professional and team-oriented work environment.
Requirements and Responsibilities
Candidates must possess the physical capability to maneuver themselves as well as assist and accommodate participants of various sizes throughout the course, including rescue scenarios. In addition to completing and passing our extensive 40 hour guide training and written test, applicants must:
- Possess a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), or be in the process of receiving one.
- Be 18 years of age or older.
- Be able to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours including sitting, standing, pushing, pulling and lifting.
- Be able to work comfortably at various heights.
- Use manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
- Meet the 70-250lb weight requirement for all participants.
- Be able to work in outdoor climates from 0-100 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Fit harnesses and helmets correctly and supervise the use of all safety equipment.
- Assure the safety and well-being of each participant throughout each adventure.
- Use customer engagement skills to ensure a memorable experience for each guest.
- Be able to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Alcohol and Drug Testing
Employees may not arrive on duty under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Because this position is a safety sensitive position, employees will be subject to random alcohol and drug testing if it is suspected that an employee is at work under the influence of alcohol or drugs (including misuse of prescription medications).
