Segway Tour Guide

Want to get paid to ride a Segway!? We are looking for responsible, friendly, safety-minded and outgoing individuals for our 2026 Segway Tour Season (April 10th – October 30th). Great guides are integral to our tours and help create our fun, safe, and respectful work environment.

What we are looking for in a tour guide candidate:


1. Great people skills


2. Punctual


3. Neat appearance


4. Energetic and being comfortable in an outdoor environment – ability to work in seasonal environments


5. Ability to manage small groups of people, and ability to project your voice


6. Interested in talking about the history of the Twin Cities and general knowledge of the area. Training is provided.

 

Skills preferred but not required:


- Public Speaking Background such as Teaching/Performance/Acting


- Knowledge of Minneapolis and/or St. Paul history
 

- First Aid/CPR Certification


- Foreign Language Fluency

 

We are currently looking for Segway tour guides, primarily for our Minneapolis St. Anthony Main location, but also in the Cathedral Hill area of St. Paul. Mobile Entertainment, LLC, was established in 2003 (the year the Segway was introduced) with one of the largest tour fleets in the world and still growing.

Compensation: $20.00/hr + tips, which can reach to $40/hr. Lead guides also have the ability to get more hours on a weekly basis. Flexible Full-Time and Part-Time positions available, weekdays and weekends.  FULL TRAINING IS PROVIDED!


 

Job Description:


- Train guests to properly use and ride Segways or Electric Bikes.
- Provide historical commentary and facts along the tour based on scripts provided.


- Ensure all participants conduct themselves in a safe, fun manner while on tour.

- Handle tour incidents in a calm effective manner.


- Provide best possible Segway Magical History Tour experience to all customers either being the general public, corporate groups or offsite events.


- Taking pictures of guests along tour route with a digital camera


- General store maintenance including: sweeping, vacuuming, sanitizing helmets, wiping down Segways after tour and taking out garbage/recycling.

 

The quality of our tour guides is a direct reflection of the quality of our tour and is essential to our company’s success. We encourage a safe and positive experience for our guests and encourage a respectful working environment for all employees. We feel a good working environment is infectiously fun. We are located in the historic St. Anthony-Main area of Minneapolis and Cathedral Hill district of St. Paul.


Additional qualifications for LEAD GUIDE ROLE:


- Effectively engaging, directing and leading public groups

- Be capable of working autonomously or part of a team


- Honestly handle cash and credit cards


- Must be able to easily and quickly step on and off the Segway without assistance, which requires physical abilities similar to climbing and descending stairs without any assistance or handrail reliance.


This is our busy season. The more hours that you have available, the higher your scheduling priority. Time off is available but in limited quantities.
