DESCRIPTION

We seek a design-minded Front-End Developer to join our team as an individual contributor. You will own the front-end: make design decisions that hold up visually and in use, then build them in Vue 3 and PrimeVue. You'll work from rough ideas and mockups (or just requirements), turn them into clear, consistent interfaces, and ship them. You'll also build customer-specific web apps, including JavaScript-based apps that embed in Sage Intacct as custom components, reusing our patterns with backend support. You'll work closely with product owners, solution engineering, project management, and backend developers in a hands-on, small-team role.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and build – Turn concepts, wireframes, or verbal briefs into clear UIs; translate business and user needs into UI decisions and code.
  • Own the front-end – Implement and maintain reusable Vue/PrimeVue components and pages; raise the visual and UX bar; keep the app consistent, accessible, and performant.
  • Deliver customer-specific UIs – Build custom screens, forms, dashboards, and reporting templates both on our platform and as JavaScript-based apps embedded in Sage Intacct.
  • Modernize and align – Help move legacy jQuery/Bootstrap to Vue/PrimeVue; follow team standards and SDLC; participate in planning, UAT, and change management; triage UI bug fixes as needed.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • 2+ years of software development experience, with a demonstrated ability to work independently and solve complex technical problems.
  • Strong front-end skills: Vue 3 (or React with willingness to work in Vue), HTML, Tailwind CSS/SCSS, responsive layout.
  • Design sensibility: Care about layout, typography, spacing, and hierarchy; make good UI decisions without a dedicated designer.
  • Experience with component libraries (e.g. PrimeVue, Vuetify) and building or customizing design systems.
  • Work from rough requirements or mockups to produce clean UIs
  • Integrate via REST/APIs when they exist, and when they don’t, collaborate effectively with server-rendered patterns in an MVC framework (e.g. Laravel routes, views, controllers).
  • Small-team fit: self-directed; define and maintain front-end standards (patterns, tooling, component usage, code review expectations) so the team stays consistent; own the front end from idea to deployment; follow broader team SDLC; clear communicator with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

DESIRED SKILLS

  • PrimeVue, Vite, or Pinia; embedded web apps (e.g. Sage Intacct custom components) or willingness to learn.
  • Laravel (Blade, asset pipeline); accounting/ERP/financial UIs or comfort learning the domain; legacy (jQuery/Bootstrap) migration; design tools (Figma, Sketch); light front-end support.
