Accounting Technician II

Full-time | Salary: $54,248 – $73,107 Annually
The Department of Homeless Services & Housing is seeking qualified candidates to fill emergency Accounting Technician II vacancies related to the homelessness crisis.

What You’ll Do:
- Perform technical accounting work across general accounting, payables, receivables, and reporting functions
- Reconcile accounts, review trial balances, and resolve discrepancies across systems and funds
- Process transactions including journal entries, invoices, reimbursements, and cash receipts
- Prepare financial reports, budget summaries, and supporting documentation
Minimum Requirements
- Completion of 12 semester or 18 quarter units of accounting including at least one course in advanced accounting, cost accounting, governmental accounting, auditing, or accounting information systems AND either:
- One year of technical accounting experience at the level of LA County’s class of Accounting Technician I OR
- Two years of accounting clerical experience
