UX/UI Design Intern

UX/UI Design Intern

The Role at a Glance
Do you obsess over how a button feels, why a user gets lost on a screen, and what makes an interface intuitive? As a UX/UI Design Intern at OmniFlex LLC, you will design the interfaces that real users interact with — conducting research, building wireframes and prototypes, running usability tests, and iterating on designs for our fitness-focused application ecosystem.

Role Overview
This internship puts you at the center of the product experience. Working directly with leadership and developers, you will move through the full UX process — from user research and ideation through wireframing, prototyping, testing, and post-launch iteration. Your designs will directly influence how people interact with OmniFlex's products. This role is ideal for students looking to build a career in UX Design, UI Design, Product Design, or Interaction Design.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities)

  • Research & Ideation: Conduct user research to identify needs and pain points. Collaborate on brainstorming sessions to develop creative design solutions.
  • Wireframing & Prototyping: Create low-fidelity wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes using industry-standard tools. Develop designs that align with the OmniFlex brand and user goals.
  • User Testing: Conduct usability testing with target audiences. Iterate on designs based on feedback and testing results.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with developers, stakeholders, and team members to ensure seamless integration of designs.
  • Post-Launch Updates: Review application performance and user feedback post-launch. Propose and implement design improvements based on analytics and user input.

What You'll Learn (Learning Objectives)

  • How to conduct user research and translate findings into actionable design decisions.
  • The full UX/UI design lifecycle from research through wireframing, prototyping, testing, and iteration.
  • How to design within a brand system while advocating for user needs and accessibility.
  • Professional collaboration within a remote/hybrid startup environment.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Majors: UX Design, UI Design, Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Digital Media, or related fields.
  • Design Thinking: Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and information architecture.
  • Portfolio: Must be able to share examples of UX/UI work (class projects, case studies, or personal projects).
  • Software: Proficiency in Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar prototyping tools.
  • Empathy: Genuine curiosity about why users behave the way they do and how design can make their experience better.
