Hospitality Intern

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Hospitality Intern to join our team. As a Hospitality Intern, you will work under the supervision of the Reservation Manager. You will gain valuable hands-on experience in the fast-paced and dynamic hospitality industry. You will have the opportunity to work in various departments, including reservations, on-site operations, housekeeping and guest services. This internship will provide you with the skills and knowledge necessary to pursue a successful career in hospitality.
During your internship, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our dedicated team and learn from industry professionals. You will support event coordination, including setting up for various events, assisting with maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of our outdoor areas, and providing general support to event attendees.

Responsibilities Include:
● Work closely with the Reservations Manager to fill the schedule to ensure all required tasks are completed.
● Assist with guest check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
● Prior to each guest arrival, walk the property, specifically indoor areas. Ensure space is ready for guest arrival and all custom requests have been accommodated.
● After each guest checkout, walk the property, specifically indoor areas. Ensure space is as it was left, all items are accounted for and document any damages, lost items, etc.
● Provide exceptional customer service to guests, addressing their inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise.
● Work closely with the housekeeping team to maintain cleanliness and organization of guest rooms and common areas.
● Clean and maintain outdoor areas including walkways, parking lots, and garden areas.
● Direct traffic during high volume parking periods and assist guests in finding available parking spaces.
● Provide setup of tables and chairs before each event and takedown of tables and chairs after each event.
● Serve as the main point of contact for clients and vendors on the day of the event, ensuring that their needs are met, contract requirements are adhered to and expectations are exceeded.
● Restock regular items needed for guest arrivals (TP, soap, garbage bags, laundry detergent, etc.)
● Complete other duties and projects at the discretion of management.


Requirements:
● Currently pursuing a degree or diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field.
● Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
● Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to handle guest inquiries and complaints.
● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
● Flexibility to work weekends, long days and evenings, as required.
● Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Google Workspace.
● Positive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow in the hospitality industry.
