Franklin Spice Works is a family owned business - we sell hundreds different spices, herbs, hand-crafted seasonings, extracts, sauces and related merchandise. We hand package all of our products in the quantities that match the needs of our customers.

Position Summary: 

Working with customers on the sales floor to recommend spices and fill orders for refills.

Helping to straighten and maintain the store. Working on projects given to you by the store manager.

Weighing out and bagging/bottling spices for customers and gift packs. Cleaning, stocking and keeping the store full. We are hiring for part time hours 25 hours a week- but we can be flexible when you have class and adjust downward if needed. 

Required Skills/Experiences: At least 1 year retail experience in is preferred but we are willing to train you. Love of food/cooking is a must.

Engaging retail floor personality. You must love engaging and talking to our guests - we can teach you everything about all of our delicious spices- you just have to be willing to learn. Positive attitude and good communication skills an. Some merchandising skills helpful but not required. Cash register skills helpful. Must be willing to work weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements: 

Ability to lift up to 50lbs 

Ability to stand for long periods of time

Job Types: Part-time

Salary: negotiable.

Experience:

• Customer Service: 1 year (preferred)

Work Location: Mid City District Huntsville, Alabama 

Responsible for - Welcoming and greeting customers, helping them locate and decide on over 300 different delicious spices and seasonings, packaging products.

Job Responsibilities

Provide general sales and customer service on the floor.

• Greet and interact with customers; educate customers on our products. Engage our guests in conversations about what they are cooking. 
• Fill customer orders, and check out customer.
• Cleaning and stocking of the sales floor, production area.
• Create gift box assemblies.
• Maintain high levels of cleanliness throughout the store with a daily
  cleaning schedule.
• Bottle and bag spices for customers.
• Update store to do lists and work on any extra tasks asked of you by
  management.
• Putting away shipment.
