Fundraising, Sponsorship, and Grant Writing Internship

About NVEEE

The National Voices for Equality, Education, and Enlightenment (NVEEE) is an award-winning, congressionally recognized national nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing bullying, violence, and suicide through education, mentorship, and community engagement. Our youth-centered programs promote leadership, mental wellness, and social responsibility across the United States.

Committee Overview

The Fundraising, Grants & Sponsorship Committee supports NVEEE's Executive Director in implementing the organization's comprehensive fundraising strategy. Interns on this committee contribute to four core areas of work: grant research and proposal development, sponsor and donor engagement, sponsorship acquisition, and general fundraising initiatives. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world experience in nonprofit resource development while directly supporting programs that impact young people nationwide.

  • Draft donation request letters, sponsorship proposals, and donor acknowledgment communications
  • Maintain and update a database of funding prospects and track outreach progress
  • Support the cultivation of long-term relationships with current and prospective donors

  • Research Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) campaigns aligned with NVEEE's programs and values
  • Reach out to local businesses, vendors, and corporate partners for event and program sponsorships
  • Manage sponsor recognition and ensure ongoing communication with contributing partners

General Fundraising

  • Support the planning and execution of fundraising campaigns across multiple channels, including email marketing, peer-to-peer campaigns, social media appeals, and direct outreach
  • Assist with event-based fundraising logistics, including coordination with vendors and sponsors
  • Write detailed progress reports and prepare presentations to communicate campaign outcomes to stakeholders
  • Analyze the results of past fundraising efforts to inform future strategies

This is a remote, unpaid internship requiring 20–30 hours per week. Scheduling is flexible but should fall within Monday–Friday business hours. Academic credit may be arranged through your institution; NVEEE will provide all required supporting documentation upon request.
