Floater Office Assistant

Floater Office Assistant - Production Company

About the Role:

We're looking for a Floater Office Assistant to join our office on an as-needed basis. This is a true floater role used to provide back-fill support in scheduling and coverage needs across the office. It’s a hands-on, people-facing role where you may serve as the face of the office during some shifts, interacting with clients, staff, and executives while helping keep a busy production company running smoothly. If you're someone who reads the room, takes initiative without being asked, and genuinely enjoys being around people, you'll fit right in.

Schedule:

  • Monday – Friday availability required
  • Hours vary based on operational needs
  • No guaranteed weekly hours
  • May include evening shifts, such as 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, for reception coverage

Compensation:

  • Hourly rate - $20.25

What You'll Do

  • Fill in across office functions based on daily staffing needs
  • Cover front desk and reception during evening hours, including greeting visitors, managing access, and securing the office at end of shift
  • Run errands, assist the Office and Kitchen Managers, and provide general operational support

What We're Looking For

  • Someone who notices what needs doing and takes initiative
  • A genuine team player who is responsive and available when the office needs coverage
  • Comfortable engaging with a range of people, from staff to clients to executives
  • Flexible and reliable, this role requires real schedule availability, not just theoretical openness to it
  • Professional, calm under pressure, and easy to work with
  • Valid driver's license, personal vehicle, and current auto insurance required
  • Must be currently based in the Los Angeles area

What to Know Going In

This role is an entry point into the entertainment industry at a globally recognized production company. We invest in our assistants and conduct regular 30/60/90-day check-ins to make sure things are working well on both sides. As staffing needs change, there may be opportunities to move into a more regularly scheduled part-time role, depending on business needs and fit.
