Human Resource Coordinator

We are seeking a HR Intern to join our team for the Summer 2026 season. Your primary purpose will be to program manage our international culture exchange program, hiring, onboarding and managing more than 50 students from around the globe. You will also be assigned a project in a HR discipline of your interest which could be on the topic of compensation, recruiting, benefits, employee relations or training.  At Lake Lawn Resort you will have the unique opportunity to learn about the hospitality business while working closely with department leaders.

Job Duties:

  • Cultural Exchange Program Coordinator
    • Maintain student employment files and records, tracking visa approval and travel arrangements in partnership with our partner Greenheart. 
    • Arrange Airport pickups/drop offs and work transportation with Operations team.
    • Onboard all new hires in coordination with the HR team. 
    • Manage and assign housing to students, doing housing inspections every month. Ensure that any work orders are communicated to the needed teams. 
    • Oversee team leaders’ completion of the weekly work schedule and audit that they follow our internal guidelines.
    • Create a schedule and arrange transportation for social security, grocery shopping, and special events.
    • Organize a fun summer cultural outing (ie. Six Flags) for all students to attend.
    • Organize Exchange Day, an event that brings together many cultural exchange students from various resorts in the region. 
    • Resolve employee relations, housing, or transportation issues. 
  • Additional HR Intern duties
    • Greet walk-ins in a welcoming and professional way, addressing employee and guest questions or escalating to the right contacts for resolution.
    • Assist Recruiter by posting job openings, reviewing resumes, conducting telephone screenings, and scheduling interviews.
    • Assist Training Manager with the onboarding process for new hires by preparing welcome kits and co-facilitating new employee orientation.
    • Participate in HR projects, which could include creating and/or implementing new policies, programs or processes. 

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years or older.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Maintains a high level of confidentiality about sensitive employee information
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and complete work independently
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Spanish speaker is a plus, but not required
