Marketing Assistant Intern

Strategic Collaboration Network (SCN) is a growing business ecosystem that connects entrepreneurs, professionals, and organizations across the DMV through strategic partnerships, events, and technology. Our mission is to help businesses grow faster through collaboration, strategic visibility, and meaningful connections.
SCN hosts networking events, business conferences, and educational workshops while also providing business development and marketing support for entrepreneurs and organizations.
Position Overview
SCN is seeking a creative and motivated Marketing Assistant Intern who wants real-world experience working with entrepreneurs, business leaders, and event producers. This internship provides hands-on exposure to marketing strategy, event promotion, brand visibility, and digital content creation.
The Marketing Assistant will support SCN’s marketing initiatives, social media presence, and promotional campaigns for events, business programs, and community partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with planning and executing marketing campaigns for SCN events and programs
Support social media marketing campaigns
Assist with marketing for conferences, networking events, and workshops
Support the promotion of SCN members, partners, and community initiatives
Help capture and organize content from events (photos, short video clips, testimonials)
Assist with updating marketing materials, flyers, and promotional documents

Ideal Candidate
Current college student studying Marketing, Communications, Business, Public Relations, or a related field
Strong interest in entrepreneurship, marketing, and community engagement
Creative thinker with strong communication skills
Familiarity with social media platforms
Basic experience with Canva or similar design tools is a plus
Organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Content creation (video or graphics)
Event marketing or campus marketing experience
