Mission:
The HR Intern supports the Human Resources team in strengthening the new employee experience from the moment a candidate accepts an offer through their first months with the organization.
This role will focus on improving onboarding processes, supporting the development of a structured buddy program, assisting with new employee integration initiatives, and contributing to the implementation of the company’s Learning Management System (LMS). The position also provides administrative support to ensure HR operations run smoothly.
The HR Intern will work closely with the HR Director and HR team to support initiatives that enhance employee engagement, training, and organizational effectiveness.
Responsibilities:
New Employee Integration
- Support the coordination of new hire onboarding and orientation activities.
- Assist with ensuring new employees receive required onboarding materials, documentation, and resources.
- Help track onboarding progress for new employees during their first 30, 60, and 90 days.
- Assist in gathering feedback from new hires to identify opportunities to improve the onboarding experience
Buddy Program Development
- Assist HR in designing and implementing a structured buddy system for new employees.
- Help coordinate buddy assignments and track participation.
- Support development of buddy guidelines and resources to ensure consistency across departments.
- Assist with collecting feedback from participants to evaluate program effectiveness.
Onboarding Process Improvement
- Assist in reviewing and updating onboarding materials and documentation.
- Help streamline onboarding workflows and administrative processes.
- Support development of onboarding checklists and integration tools for supervisors and new hires.
- Assist in improving communication and coordination between HR and hiring managers during the onboarding process.
LMS Implementation Support
- Assist the HR team with implementation of the company’s Learning Management System (LMS).
- Support organizing training materials and uploading content to the platform.
- Assist with tracking training completion and maintaining training records.
- Help test system functionality and provide feedback during the implementation process
HR Administrative Support
- Assist with HR documentation and record management.
- Support HR communications and internal announcements.
- Assist with HR projects and general administrative tasks as needed.
