About the Opportunity

Are you interested in building real-world applications that support critical operations and decision-making? At NSWCDD, you’ll have the opportunity to apply your technical skills to meaningful projects that support national security.

We are seeking a motivated SharePoint & Power Platform Developer Intern to join our team. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience developing business solutions using Microsoft 365 tools, including SharePoint Online, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers and analysts in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist in developing and customizing SharePoint Online sites, lists, and document libraries
  • Support creation of applications using Power Apps (forms, dashboards, workflows)
  • Help automate business processes using Power Automate
  • Contribute to Power BI dashboards to visualize data and support decision-making
  • Collaborate with team members to gather requirements and implement solutions
  • Support testing, troubleshooting, and improving applications
  • Assist with documenting processes, solutions, and best practices
  • Participate in training and mentorship opportunities
  • Stay current with Microsoft 365 and Power Platform capabilities

What We’re Looking For

  • Currently pursuing a degree in:
    • Computer Science
    • Data Science
    • Software Engineering
  • Basic familiarity with:
    • SharePoint Online or Microsoft 365 tools
    • Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)
    • UI/UX concepts
  • Understanding of:
    • Business process automation
    • Data visualization concepts
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Strong communication and attention to detail

Nice to Have (Not Required):

  • Experience with JSON, Power Fx, JavaScript, HTML, or CSS
