POSITION TITLE: Human Resources- HRIS Intern
WAGE/COMPENSATION: $16.47/hr. (Hybrid, temporary part-time, 10-15 hrs. per week for 4-8 weeks depending on performance)
REPORTS TO: Director of Human Resources
POSITION DESCRIPTION/PRIMARY OBJECTIVE
The Human Resources-HRIS Intern will support the Human Resources team by assisting with the administration, maintenance, and improvement of Hired’s Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS). This role provides hands-on experience working with HR data, HR technology platforms, and employee records while learning how HR systems support business operations and employee services. The intern will assist with HRIS data entry, reporting, system testing, documentation management, and special HR projects while gaining exposure to the full employee lifecycle and HR operations.
This is a hybrid role working 10-15 hours/week. The details of the work schedule will be discussed with the work supervisor.
KEY INTERNSHIP COMPONENTS
HRIS Data Management
- Assist with maintaining accurate employee data in the HR Information System, ADP.
- Support data entry, updates, and audits to ensure data integrity.
- Help organize and upload employee records and HR documents into the HRIS.
- Assist with HRIS data cleanup and data validation projects.
System Support & Improvements
- Assist with HRIS system testing, upgrades, or enhancements.
- Help document workflows, system procedures, and job aids.
- Support troubleshooting basic HRIS or employee system questions.
HR Operations Support
- Assist with onboarding and employee record management.
- Support benefits, payroll, or timekeeping data updates when needed.
- Help document HR processes, procedures, and system guides.
- Provide administrative support for HR projects and initiatives.
KEY SKILLS & ABILITIES
The following skills and abilities are preferred for the selected Intern in this position:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field. Coursework or experience related to HR systems, data analysis, or business technology, preferred.
- Interest in HR technology, data management, or HR analytics.
- Familiarity with HRIS platforms (ADP) or databases, a plus.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Office tools.
- Technical curiosity and willingness to learn
- Detail-oriented with consistent follow-through.
- Ability to handle confidential employee information responsibly.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
