About the Collaboration / Job

roundtable & advisory is growing it's City Summits platform from Jersey City to Newark, Charlotte, Queens/LIC, Detroit & Miami/Wynwood. City Summits comprising two leadership gatherings. The Summit on Economic Development, Placemaking & Innovation and the Summit for Real Estate Investment. These are convenings of principals' across the public & private spheres and include anchor institutions as well as city, county, state & regional government leadership. Working alongside each city's principal economic development entities - the summits are intended to be annual conferences to help accelerate the city's growth through panel discussions covering all of the areas important to 'what makes a city successful'...'attractive to live, work, learn, play & invest in'.

About the Role

This role is ideal for a highly creative, driven, and detail-oriented student, recent graduate, or early-career professional interested in marketing, design, branding, events, and growth strategy. You will work closely with the Principals to support the visibility, positioning, and continued growth of the platform through strong visual communications, digital marketing, and polished event-related materials.

 

This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys both creative work and execution. The role will support the development of marketing assets, branded presentations, digital promotions, advertising campaigns, and summit collateral, while also assisting with broader coordination tied to leadership-focused summits and related initiatives.

 

Responsibilities may include designing promotional graphics, invitations, presentations, social media content, email marketing materials, and event signage; supporting digital outreach and campaign execution; assisting with LinkedIn advertising and audience targeting; helping maintain brand consistency across all communications; and contributing creative ideas that elevate the platform’s visual identity and market presence.

 

This role is best suited for someone who is organized, fast-moving, visually strong, highly dependable, and excited to contribute to meaningful conversations around cities, real estate, economic development, and leadership.

 

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a high-performing, creative intern who can combine strong design instincts with professionalism, responsiveness, and attention to detail. The ideal candidate is excited about building compelling materials that help attract audiences, engage stakeholders, and strengthen the overall brand and impact of each City Summit.

 

Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, taking initiative, managing multiple assignments, and producing polished work with a high standard of quality. A strong interest in branding, digital marketing, visual storytelling, and event-related communications is important.

 

Experience or familiarity with the following is strongly preferred:

  • Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • PowerPoint for high-quality graphics and sponsor/speaker materials
  • LinkedIn Ads / Campaign Manager and digital audience targeting
  • Social media content creation and visual branding
  • Canva, email marketing platforms, and basic marketing analytics
  • Copy editing, formatting, and proofreading for promotional materials

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and produce branded marketing materials for events, campaigns, and company initiatives
  • Create polished presentations, pitch decks, one-pagers, sponsor materials, and summit collateral
  • Support digital promotion efforts across email, LinkedIn, social media, and related channels
  • Assist with LinkedIn advertising campaigns, including creative preparation, audience support, and campaign coordination
  • Help maintain a strong and consistent visual identity across all public-facing materials
  • Contribute creative ideas for branding, promotions, audience engagement, and campaign performance
  • Assist with content development related to summit themes, speakers, partners, and thought-leadership topics
  • Support outreach and coordination tied to speakers, sponsors, and partners when needed
  • Assist in organizing and preparing materials for meetings, strategy calls, and pre- and post-event communications
  • Help review marketing and promotional content for quality, accuracy, professionalism, and consistency

 

Compensation

The compensation can be contract or salary. The goal is to be a primary stakeholder and drive value as someone leading Executive Operations.
