Visual Researcher / Layout Designer

Renowned commercial production company is hiring a full time visual researcher / layout designer to work within the company's creative treatment department.

This is a full-time position working with Biscuit’s LA office. Candidate is ideally based in LA or NY but we are open to remote/hybrid.

QUALIFICATIONS / TRAITS:

Artistic eye when it comes to photography and film. Knowledge of the big names in art photography, and an up to date knowledge of film is essential.
Ability to translate a director’s vision and understand their individual needs on each project.
Ability to accommodate a variety of director styles and personalities
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of working in Photoshop, InDesign and Premiere. (Adobe illustrator is a bonus but not required).
Basic knowledge of AI image generation
Ability to stay calm under pressure as difficult deadlines are a reality of this position. The candidate needs to be able to keep a cool head when there’s a lot happening.
Patience and perseverance– image research requires deep dives that can sometimes take days to dig up what’s needed
Organization and communication– the ideal candidate will bring ideas to the table for systems to improve the communication and work flow of our creative treatment department
Enthusiasm– we’re looking for a team member who brings genuine excitement to the role

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coordinate with EP’s, Head Of Creative and other freelancers around the world in order to ensure treatments are completed on time and to the standard our directors expect.
Visual Research
Layout Design, this is an integral part of the process and researching and implementing ways to elevate our designs is a key part of the role
Daily treatment team check ins to divide research / design work in a way that plays to each team member's strengths.
