Intern – Media Relations

 

Overview:

 

The Las Vegas Aces are seeking the best and brightest students to join their internship program. The Aces tip off

their 2026 season in May and are looking to maintain the highest level of experience for fans on and off the court.

Our media relations internship program is designed for students who want to gain first-hand experience on the

front lines of a professional sports team. Under the direction of the media relations leadership team, the intern will

assist in all aspects of game day media operations.

 

Department: Media Relations

Job Title: Media Relations Intern

Reports To: VP of Media Relations

 

Duties and tasks:

  • Assist with the overall gameday media operations.
  • Distribute media credentials and photo vests.
  • Assist in setting up the media workroom and courtside work areas.
  • Run stats to media during games.
  • Compile postgame stats packages for distribution to both teams and media.
  • Compile postgame statistical notes.
  • Track statistical trends to be used in postgame notes and recaps
  • Work all home games of the 2026 season and other events as needed 
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Learning Objectives:

  • Gain a better understanding of the gameday flow of a sports information and media relations
  • professional.
  • Gain hands-on experience in a professional sports environment.
  • Experience hands-on what it takes to service the media throughout the course of a season.

 

Intern Benefits:

  • Up to 8 hours of intern hours available per game, plus various events
  • Interns are expected to work all Las Vegas Aces home games during the duration of the internship and
  • other events as needed
  • Interns will need to be available to work early mornings, late nights, weekends and holidays
  • Internships are designed to run for the entirety of the season and postseason based on program needs and performance.

 

Requirements:

  • Must be enrolled in college.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook and Word).
  • Must possess excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be a detail-oriented and creative "out-of-the-box" thinker.
  • Must be self-confident, resilient and possess a high energy level and enthusiasm.
  • Must be a team-player and able to work well with others.
