Position Summary

Klimt & Design is looking for an AI Automation Intern to join our team in Austin, TX. This is not a typical internship. You will be among the first members of our dedicated internal AI function, reporting directly to a Co-Founder with zero layers of management, no busywork, and genuine ownership from your first day. Your work will sit at the crossroads of artificial intelligence, design operations, and client delivery - creating real automations, building real tools, and making a measurable difference across the agency. High performers will have the opportunity to transition into a full-time role with a clear path to building and leading their own team. Key Responsibilities

  • Architecting, developing, and launching AI-driven automations using Claude, ChatGPT, and custom integrations to streamline manual workflows across the agency and for client projects
  • Rapidly prototyping AI-powered tools and agents - from market research scrapers to automated reporting and content generation systems - and refining them quickly based on real user feedback
  • Developing internal dashboards, data pipelines, and agentic workflows that give Klimt & Design's team members a distinct operational edge
  • Assessing new AI models, platforms, and frameworks as they emerge, and distilling your findings into clear, actionable recommendations for the leadership team
  • Taking on additional projects and responsibilities as they arise

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Computer Science, Data Science, Business + CS, or a related discipline
  • Internship or meaningful project experience in AI/ML, software engineering, or data science
  • Hands-on proficiency with Claude and ChatGPT as everyday working tools - prompt engineering, multi-step workflows, and integration into real tasks
  • Competency in Python and/or JavaScript
  • Action-oriented with a genuine fascination with where AI and automation are headed
  • Ability to work on-site in Austin, TX 2–3 days per week
