The Trajectory Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding access to high-quality tutoring and academic mentorship for students who cannot afford traditional academic support. Founded by professional educators, we work to close educational gaps through personalized tutoring, test preparation, and mentorship.
Position Overview
The Social Media & Operations Intern will support the day-to-day operations (no set daily hours) of the organization, with a focus on digital outreach, student recruitment, and program coordination. This role is ideal for a motivated student interested in education, nonprofit work, marketing, or organizational leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Social Media & Outreach
- Create and schedule content for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and other - channels
- Assist in developing engaging educational and promotional content
- Monitor engagement and help grow the organization’s online presence
- Student Recruitment & Vetting
- Assist in outreach efforts to recruit students and families
- Help screen and organize student applications
- Support communication with prospective students and families
- Operations & Program Support
- Assist with administrative and organizational tasks
- Help coordinate tutoring sessions and program logistics
- Support ongoing nonprofit initiatives and projects
Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Interest in education, nonprofits, or social impact work
- Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented
- Comfortable using social media platforms
- Self-starter who can work independently in a remote environment
- Preferred (but not required):
- Experience with social media content creation
- Interest in tutoring, teaching, or academic support
- Familiarity with tools like Google Workspace, Canva, or similar
