Here’s the Scoop:
af&co.’s Internship Program begins mid-to-late April 2026, with the potential to extend for an additional semester. This immersive program is designed to provide students with meaningful, real-world exposure to the hospitality PR and marketing industry.

Interns are fully integrated into the af&co. team and gain hands-on experience working alongside seasoned PR and marketing professionals at one of the Bay Area’s leading agencies. The program emphasizes mentorship, personalized guidance, and skill-building, giving interns the opportunity to learn how strategic communications, brand storytelling, and client relationships are managed in a fast-paced agency environment.

Throughout the internship, students will collaborate with team members on active accounts, observe and participate in day-to-day agency operations, and develop practical skills that support their academic and career goals. Our objective is to ensure interns leave the program with a deeper understanding of the industry, increased confidence, and a clear sense of what it’s like to work at a top boutique PR and marketing agency.

Our Team Culture:
Our experienced team brings passion, talent and relationships to the table. We create holistic marketing and public relations strategies that will exceed your expectations and deliver a fresh approach, every time. As the lifestyle and hospitality industries evolve, so do we. Our expertise helps our clients navigate the changing landscape, prepare for the predictable and anticipate the unpredictable.

Compensation: In addition to school credit hours, we provide a stipend at the end of each completed internship term. The amount varies depending on the duration of employment.

Time commitment: We ask that our interns commit to a minimum of 12 hours per week, scheduled in blocks of three or more hours, within our 9:00am–6:00pm PST workday. This schedule can be customized to accommodate class commitments, and we are flexible. For example, hours may be structured as two six-hour days, four three-hour days, one six-hour day plus two three-hour days, and similar arrangements.

Interns local to the Bay Area are encouraged to join us for select in-person events as a way to fully immerse themselves in the program. Participation is optional and not required.
