Special Events Intern
The Special Events Intern will work directly with the Special Events Managers to plan, support and execute the event activities of On Broadway, Inc. (Including, but not limited to Farmers’ Market On Broadway, igNight Markets, Fire Over the Fox, Levitt AMP Green Bay Music Series, Sweet Stroll, etc.) and overseeing design elements (Trashforce, seasonal decor, dog park events).
Responsibilities:
- Set up, help manage, and take down at all events
- Expected to be present for entirety of all events
- Assist in the planning and execution of event programs as needed
- Support vendors with setup and takedown needs
- Foster relationships with vendors, Broadway businesses, and community partners
- Fill out post-event summary and complete wrap action items
- Manage EBT/Double Your Buck/ Fresh Food Drive Program
- Run information booth at farmers' market
- Collect EBT, DYB, and FFD Dollars from vendors and track receipts
- Create and maintain EBT Binder
- Manage Mini Boss Program at Wednesday night Farmers’ Market
- Recruit vendors and build out schedule
- Weekly event communication and on-site lead and set up
- Assist with branded apparel sales at events
- Man table with branded swag when needed
- Handle POS system duties
- Data Entry
- Assist with S240 data entry and total sales reports for events
- Volunteer Recruitment
- Be present at volunteer events and assist with volunteer management
- Help recruit volunteers for events and Levitt Hype Team
- Broadway District Design
- Help with district wide cleanliness, overall appearance and design enhancements and run biweekly Trashforce program
Event Dates:
*This position is required to attend all event dates outlined below.
- Farmers’ Market on Broadway – Wednesdays, May 20 – end of summer internship date; 3-8 p.m.
- Levitt AMP Green Bay Music Series – Sundays, May 31 – August 9; 4-6:30 p.m.
- Fire Over the Fox – Saturday, July 4; 3-11 p.m.
- Sweet Stroll on Broadway – Saturday, July 18; 1-5 p.m.
- igNight Market – Saturday, August 15; 5-10 p.m.
Qualifications:
- Completed or working toward a college degree, preferably with an interest in event planning or marketing
- Professional demeanor
- Previous event volunteer experience preferred
- Strong communication skills
Physical Requirements:
- Must possess the strength to lift and carry materials weighing at least 25-50lbs without assistance
- Must be able to be on your feet for multiple hours at a time during various weather conditions
