Fundraising Event Intern

CKRH is currently looking for an intern for the Spring/Summer 2026 semester. This internship supports CKRH’s Development Director with the planning, execution, and follow-up of the annual gala, NIGHT OF THE STARS, scheduled for June 27, 2026. The intern will gain valuable hands-on experience in nonprofit fundraising, marketing, and event coordination while contributing to CKRH’s mission of providing equine-assisted therapeutic activities to children and 
adults with special physical, cognitive, emotional, and social needs through therapeutic activities with the horse.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Proficiency in graphic design, writing, and photo editing.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage projects independently and meet deadlines.
• Confident in soliciting donations and engaging with vendors.
• Effective team communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable interacting with event sponsors, donors, and the public.

Internship Period: March 9-July 2, 2022

Hours: 15 hours per week (average)
 

Compensation: $12 per hour, plus a one-time fuel reimbursement at the internship’s conclusion. Where applicable, CKRH will assist in securing academic credit through participating institutions
