PR Content Writing Intern

The Role

We're looking for a sharp, curious writer who can produce well-researched content about oral health and dentistry. This isn't fluff writing. You'll be crafting original stories backed by real research, credible sources, and expert quotes from dentists and healthcare professionals. Think health journalism meets PR — content that educates, builds trust, and positions Wellspoken as a thought leader in the dental space.

No AI-generated writing is permitted. Every piece you produce must be authentically yours. We need a storyteller, not a prompt engineer.

What You'll Do

  • Research and write original articles, blog posts, and PR content focused on oral health topics, dental industry trends, and patient education
  • Identify and reach out to dentists, hygienists, and healthcare professionals to secure expert quotes and interviews for your stories
  • Develop story angles that make dental health accessible, interesting, and shareable for a general audience
  • Source and cite credible research, studies, and data to support every piece of content you write
  • Collaborate with our team to align content with Wellspoken's brand voice and marketing goals
  • Pitch original story ideas based on trending topics, seasonal relevance, and industry news

What You'll Learn

  • How to build a professional portfolio of published, research-backed health content
  • Expert sourcing and interview techniques used in PR and journalism
  • Content strategy at a fast-growing startup with real revenue and traction
  • The intersection of healthcare, marketing, and technology

You Might Be a Fit If

  • You're studying journalism, communications, PR, English, public health, or a related field
  • You have a strong writing voice and can tell a compelling story without relying on AI tools
  • You're comfortable conducting research and can distinguish credible sources from noise
  • You're not afraid to cold-email an expert to get a quote for your article
  • You care about accuracy and take pride in well-sourced, fact-checked work
  • You can take a dry topic like “flossing frequency” and make someone actually want to read about it

Bonus Points

  • Published writing samples or clips (campus newspaper, blog, Medium, etc.)
  • Experience conducting interviews or sourcing expert commentary
  • Interest in healthcare, wellness, or dental industry
  • Familiarity with SEO basics or content marketing principles

To Apply

Submit your resume along with 1–2 writing samples that showcase your voice, research ability, and storytelling. We want to see how you think and write — not what a chatbot can generate.
