Compensation: $17.00 - $22.00 Hourly

 

SUMMARY

DIAL is seeking a Digital Marketing Co-op to join our team for the Spring semester, with the option to extend into a summer internship. This role is ideal for a student who is creative, detail-oriented, and excited to build real B2B marketing experience that ties directly to brand awareness, lead generation, and business growth. You will help shape and execute DIAL’s social media presence, create digital content for web and campaigns, support presentations and customer-facing materials, and use analytics to improve performance over time. This is a hands-on role where you will take projects from idea to execution and see the impact on impressions, engagement, and qualified leads.

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Drive social media execution: With direction from the manager, help build and execute DIAL’s social media strategy, with a focus on LinkedIn and Facebook.
  • Create content that supports growth: Design posts, web graphics, banners, and digital visuals that highlight DIAL’s capabilities and support customer acquisition.
  • Maintain the content calendar: Maintain a weekly posting rhythm, coordinate upcoming themes, and keep content organized, scheduled, and on brand.
  • Write and refine social copy: Draft strong post text and campaign messaging that fits DIAL’s voice and drives interaction, inquiries, and leads.
  • Support paid and organic campaigns: Assist the manager with basic campaign setup and coordination (ads, audiences, creative variations) and support basic testing.
  • Make the website look sharp: Support web updates and UX improvements (layout, imagery, landing page visuals, CTA clarity). WordPress familiarity is a plus.
  • Capture and create photo/video content: Help create and edit photos and videos for social and web. Short-form video and reels are a big plus.
  • Use AI to move faster: Use AI tools to draft, refine, and complete marketing tasks while maintaining accuracy, quality, and DIAL’s voice.
  • Track performance and report wins: Monitor basic metrics (impressions, clicks, engagement, traffic, inquiries), share what is working, and recommend improvements.
  • Support SEO and marketing analytics: Assist with SEO updates and performance tracking using Google Analytics and platform analytics.
  • Support business development: Help track inbound leads, organize follow-ups, research target accounts, and support prospecting lists.

 

WHO YOU ARE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, Business, or a related field
  • Working knowledge of graphic design tools (Adobe Photoshop and InDesign preferred)
  • Comfortable with content creation (graphics, photo editing, and social content)
  • Familiar with LinkedIn and how B2B companies use it for brand building and lead generation
  • Strong written communication and attention to detail, with the ability to draft clean social copy and professional emails to leads and internal teams
  • Organized self-starter who can manage tasks, meet deadlines, and follow through
  • Eager to learn B2B manufacturing terminology and how DIAL’s capabilities connect to customer needs
  • Comfortable learning business development outreach, including emailing and calling cold leads, helping qualify leads, and coordinating next steps with the sales team

 

WHAT WILL PUT YOU AHEAD

  • Video editing skills and experience creating short-form video /reels. 
  • Familiarity with web/UX concepts and website editing tools (WordPress) 
  • Basic knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics, and paid search fundamentals (Google Ads) 
  • Portfolio examples (web graphics, social posts, decks, video clips, or design samples) 
  • Microsoft Office skills: Strong PowerPoint design skills (layout, formatting, and visual storytelling) and knowledge Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience in a digital or in-person customer support or sales role. Something about lead follow-up.

 

SCHEDULE AND EXPECTATIONS

This is a part-time, on-site co-op role requiring approximately 20–30 hours per week during the Spring term, with the potential to extend into the Summer. Consistent weekly availability is required.

 

COMPENSATION TRANSPARENCY

The hourly pay range for this position will be communicated in accordance with applicable Illinois pay transparency requirements and will be based on qualifications, academic level, and relevant experience.

 

ELIGIBILITY AND PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

Employment is contingent upon authorization to work in the United States and successful completion of any pre-employment screenings required by the Company.

 

LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT

This co-op is designed to provide structured, hands-on learning in B2B manufacturing marketing, including exposure to sales operations, customer acquisition, digital analytics, and industrial branding. The co-op will receive mentorship, feedback, and periodic performance check-ins throughout the term.

 

 

SAFETY AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

This role is based on-site in a manufacturing environment. The Digital Marketing Co-op may periodically enter production and warehouse areas to capture photos/videos or support marketing content. All company safety policies must be followed at all times, including PPE requirements (e.g., safety glasses and steel-toe footwear where required), machine safety protocols, and EHS training. Safety is a core value at DIAL, and adherence to OSHA and company safety standards is a condition of employment.

While performing the duties of this role, the employee may occasionally be required to walk through production areas, stand for short periods of time, use stairs, and operate standard office equipment. The Digital Marketing Co-op will have access to proprietary information, customer data, pricing, processes, and manufacturing capabilities. All work product, designs, content, and materials created during the co-op term are the property of DIAL.
