Student Political Organizer -- Young People's Alliance
Young people are facing shrinking economic opportunity, an affordability crisis, and a loss of community. Further, AI is threatening to accelerate each of these problems. Neither political party is prioritizing these pressing issues affecting our generation. As a result, the American Dream feels like a broken promise.
The Young People’s Alliance is a bipartisan movement completely led by and for young people to reclaim the American Dream. We are developing innovative, bipartisan policy solutions that actually work for our generation, building a nationwide grassroots network of young people, and achieving real policy change for our generation in DC and state legislatures.
We are launching a petition across the United States telling our elected officials that our vote must be earned while providing the roadmap for doing so. This isn’t just another petition. This is, in statement form, our generation’s most pressing hopes, dreams, and ambitions. This is a shared vision for how we can create an American Dream in an increasingly hopeless age.
We are hiring student organizers across Texas, Florida, Arizona, and Wisconsin to get thousands of their peers to sign onto our petition and mobilize to fight to restore the American Dream. While the petition text is still being finalized, it will call for and reflect our platform that aims to make the American Dream actually work for everyone in our generation. Organizers will go out on their campus and ask students to sign onto our petition.
Ideal applicants will be current students who have experience with political organizing or sales(volunteering/working for a political campaigns; leader/member of a political organization on campus; working in sales; etc.) and who are social/extroverted (like talking to people; conformable going up to strangers and starting a conversation; etc.). That being said, everyone is strongly encouraged to apply -- we care much more about who you are over your previous experiences.
