International Sound Corporation is currently seeking Camera Operators in the production and taping of a live television broadcast show for a local Harness Racetrack in Nichols, New York. The candidate should have the ability to setup, operate, and tear down a professional broadcast camera. For one of the positions, the candidate will be required to carry a shoulder camera and walk throughout the work shift. The other Camera Operator position is for a Pan Camera Operator with the camera located on a fixed mount and fluid head. Prior experience is preferred for these positions that includes filming live sporting events and interviews. Training will be offered to the right candidate with limited experience. This job requires the ability to take direction from the Technical Director. The opportunity is perfect for a person wanting to begin a career in the broadcasting industry. The position is seasonal with approximately 18 weekly work hours from May 2nd through September 19th. Evening work shifts during the live racing season will be held every Friday and Saturday night from 5:00 PM until 11:00 PM. Additionally, Sunday afternoon racing will be conducted from May 3rd through September 6th, plus Monday September 7th with work shifts from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The candidate must be available to work all racing dates and have reliable transportation. Must also obtain an occupational license with the New York Gaming Commission at the racetrack.
