Strategic Program Intern
Organization: Disability Partnerships (DP)
Location: Remote (U.S. - Eastern/Central Time Zones preferred; flexible)
Time Commitment: 10–15 hours/week (flexible)
Duration: 10–12 weeks (option to extend)
Start Date: Rolling / As available
Compensation: Unpaid internship (school credit welcomed, if applicable)

Role Overview
DP is seeking a mission-driven intern to support marketing, business/nonprofit operations, and program support. This role is ideal for a student or early-career candidate interested in nonprofit leadership, community engagement, communications, and disability inclusion. You’ll work closely with DP leadership on projects that directly support our growth and day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities (you may support projects across several areas)
Marketing & Communications
Help plan and schedule social media content (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn)
Draft short program announcements, newsletters, and outreach messages
Assist with basic website updates and content organization (as needed)
Support campaign promotion (events, fundraising drives, program enrollment)
Business & Nonprofit Operations
Support administrative and operational projects (process documentation, trackers, templates)
Assist with simple reporting or organizing data (program participation, outreach lists, etc.)
Help coordinate internal schedules and follow-up items across committees/teams
Research tools/platforms that improve workflows (e.g., email marketing, CRM, project management)
Disability Community Support (Program Support)
Assist with participant-friendly communications (reminders, resource sharing, follow-ups)
Support creation/organization of resource lists for individuals with disabilities and caregivers
Help improve accessibility and clarity of materials (plain language, inclusive formatting)
What You’ll Learn
How nonprofit programs are delivered and supported behind the scenes
Practical marketing for mission-based organizations
Operations fundamentals (systems, documentation, workflows, reporting)
Best practices for accessibility, inclusive communication, and community support
Qualifications
Interest in nonprofit work, marketing/communications, operations, or disability services
Strong writing and organization skills
Reliable, responsive, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment
Familiarity with Google Workspace (Docs/Sheets/Drive); Canva is a plus
Lived experience with disability and/or experience in disability services is welcomed (not required)
