🎧 DJ – Paid Event-Based Event Role (NYC | House Music & Rooftop Events)

 

Rose Gold is a leading concert/event production based in NYC. In 2025, we produced 350+ events across 7 cities, welcoming 250,000+ attendees. Rose Gold has produced large scale concerts with artists like John Summit, The Chainsmokers, Disco Lines and more, and also produce weekly parties at top venues across New York City like Somewhere Nowhere, Mr. Purple, Moxy Williamsburg, the Arlo Soho, Magic Hour, etc. We take summer seriously, and have 10 events every Saturday. We are looking for motivated individuals who are receptive, take initiative, and are passionate about the entertainment and EDM industries to assist in pulling off the best summer ever.

We are expanding our DJ roster and looking for talented, high-energy DJs who can both perform and help drive attendance.

 

Role Overview

This is a paid, gig-based DJ position — not a full-time role or internship.

Selected DJs will be booked for individual events based on fit, performance quality, and ability to draw a crowd. Strong performers will be rebooked consistently.

You’ll be playing to 300–1,000+ person crowds at premium NYC venues including rooftops, boat parties, and nightlife spaces.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Perform 1–3 hour sets at live events
  • Curate high-energy house / tech house / open-format sets appropriate for the venue
  • Promote your event date using a unique ticket tracking link
  • Drive ticket sales through your network (social, group chats, etc.)
  • Represent the brand professionally on-site

Compensation

  • Paid per gig
  • Additional upside based on ticket sales performance
  • Strong sellers and performers receive priority rebooking and higher-profile slots
  • This is performance-based — top DJs build long-term recurring bookings.

Ideal Candidate

  • Experienced DJ comfortable playing live in front of large crowds
  • Strong understanding of house, tech house, or dance-forward music
  • Has an existing network (college, young professional, nightlife, etc.)
  • Motivated to promote and sell tickets
  • Reliable and professional
  • Previous nightclub, rooftop, tailgate, or college event experience preferred.

Important Notes

  • This is not a full-time position
  • This is not an internship**
  • Gigs are scheduled individually based on event calendar and fit
  • Must be located in NYC or able to travel to events
