Hiring: Afterschool Storytelling & Podcasting Instructor

We’re looking for a creative and enthusiastic instructor to lead an afterschool Podcasting & Storytelling class for elementary students. This role is perfect for someone who loves working with kids and helping them explore storytelling, voice, and audio production.

What You’ll Do:

• Teach elementary students the basics of storytelling, podcasting, and audio recording
• Guide students through creating short podcasts or audio stories
• Foster a fun, engaging, and supportive learning environment
• Manage classroom behavior and keep students motivated
• Assist with end-of-term showcases or student podcast presentations

Requirements:

• Experience with audio recording, editing, or podcasting tools (Audacity, GarageBand, etc.)
• Experience teaching or working with children
• Patient, creative, and energetic
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Preferred (not required):

• Previous afterschool or enrichment teaching experience
• Background in storytelling, creative writing, or media production

Schedule & Compensation:

• Afterschool hours
• $30-35/hour, depending on the experience
