We are AMISA - the American International Schools in the Americas. We have over 60 member schools in South America, Central America, North America, and the surrounding Caribbean islands. Our schools are accredited, private, American International schools utilizing an American curriculum allowing you to teach diverse courses including AP and IB in English!

An AMISA member school seeks an outgoing and energetic educator for its early childhood program (4-5 years old). The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping each child reach their full potential, both socially and academically.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • -Creating student-centered lessons and activities based on the Reggio Emilia approach to Early Childhood Education.
  • Documenting student learning using a variety of electronic tools, and keeping track of student progress using an electronic portfolio.
  • Assessing and reporting on student progress each trimester and maintaining documentation panels in the classroom and early childhood building throughout the year.
  • Supervising students during play time before and/or during school several times during a six-day cycle.

Interested candidates must have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education - Major or minor in Early Childhood Education Preferred (Master's in Early Childhood Education would also be accepted).
  • Current U.S. Teaching Certification
  • Direct Experience Utilizing the Reggio Emilia Approach to Early Childhood Education in the classroom
