Who We Are
Odyssey Jiu Jitsu is a growing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu academy focused on high-level training, real competition, and strong team culture. We are building a serious media presence that documents authentic training, athlete development, and the day-to-day environment inside a competitive martial arts academy.
Our content is featured on social media and our digital training platform, and we consistently produce:
- Technique instruction
- Live training footage
- Athlete features
- Competition preparation
- Academy culture content
We are looking for someone to help us capture this environment on a consistent basis.
The Role
This is an in-house videographer position focused on filming only.
Your responsibility is to capture high-quality footage of:
- Live classes and instruction
- Sparring and training rounds
- Technique demonstrations (educational content)
- Athlete features and interviews
- Special academy events and competitions
No posting duties. Editing is not required (but is a major bonus).
We provide equipment.

You should have:
- A good eye for framing and motion
- Comfort filming fast-paced movement
- Reliability and consistency
- Interest in capturing real, unscripted action
Filming Hours
Evenings: 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM
(You will not be filming the entire time, but these are the class hours when content happens.)
Occasional weekend events.
Where Your Footage Will Be Used
Your work will appear on:
- YouTube
- ODSY Lab (our digital training platform)
This is real, published sports content — not practice projects.
Nice to Have (Major Bonus)
Strong editing skills (social clips, short-form, color and sound cleanup).
If you can edit well, that is a significant advantage and something we would pay for separately. Strong editors can earn additional paid work beyond shooting.
