Social Content Creator

We’re looking for an entry-level Social Content Creator to join our international video production team in Washington, DC. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career creator with an interest in science, medicine, or research, and some experience creating short-form vertical social media content through study, personal projects, internships, or freelance work. You don’t need extensive professional experience — we’re looking for curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to learn.

WebsEdge is a knowledge-driven, next-generation media company creating engaging video content for global science and medical communities. Our work focuses on major international conferences across fields such as physics, climate science, medicine, and neurology. We produce short-form social content for platforms like Instagram and TikTok, mini-documentaries, and podcast-style interviews, with the goal of making complex ideas clear, engaging, and shareable for audiences around the world.


The role


This is a full-time role based at our Georgetown, Washington DC office, with hybrid working options available. You’ll receive strong editorial and technical support and will learn professional workflows on the job. Responsibilities include:

  • editing short-form social clips (typically 6–10 per conference)
  • assisting with filming social-first content at conferences (8–10 per year)
  • supporting social-first content campaigns with editorial and marketing teams
    researching speakers, creators, and potential collaborators
  • contributing ideas, trends, and creative suggestions for social video


Who we’re looking for


This role is suited to someone at the start of their career. You might be a recent graduate in science communication, journalism, media, or a science discipline, or someone with hands-on experience creating content through coursework, internships, freelancing, or personal projects. You should have:

  • some experience creating short-form social video (professional or non-professional)
  • a basic understanding of what performs well on platforms like Instagram and TikTok
    basic shooting and editing skills using common editing software
  • an interest in science, medicine, or research communication
  • good communication and collaboration skills
  • strong organisation and ability to meet deadlines


Salary and benefits

  • salary: $50,000 per year
  • benefits: healthcare and paid vacation included
  • full-time role with a three-month trial period, with the aim of moving to a permanent position
