Are you passionate about videography, storytelling, and turning real-life adventures into unforgettable videos?

Join the YMCA of the Rockies at Camp Chief Ouray — one of the nation's premier overnight summer camps — and spend your summer filming epic moments in the stunning Colorado Rockies!

From heart-pounding adventure trips and leadership programs to campfire laughs, trail hikes, and lifelong friendships forming right before your lens — you'll be the one documenting the transformation that happens when kids unplug, explore, and grow in faith, mind, and body.

What You'll Create:

  • Weekly session recap videos showcasing campers, staff, and classic camp activities
  • Highlight videos for our Leadership in Training, Trekker, and Adventure Trip programs
  • A powerful summer staff recap video for the end-of-season banquet
  • Help produce the moving “Impact of Camp” video that inspires donations for scholarships (helping more kids experience this life-changing place!)
  • Creative videos that bring the joy and spirit of Camp Chief Ouray to families, social media, and our website

Your Daily Adventure Includes:

  • Shooting on-location across 5,100+ acres of mountains, meadows, streams, and trails
  • Editing footage into polished, engaging videos (with team support)
  • Collaborating closely with our Photography Intern, Social Media Intern, and admin team
  • Organizing and sharing media files so families see their camper's highlights in real time
  • Living the YMCA core values: Caring, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility, and Faith every day

Who We're Looking For:

  • Experience with videography, filmmaking, video editing software (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci, etc.), communications, or marketing
  • Creative self-starter who thrives independently but loves teamwork
  • Strong time management — you hit deadlines without stress
  • Passion for youth development and creating positive, inclusive spaces
  • Current CPR/First Aid (or willing to get it)
  • Comfort working outdoors in all weather, hiking rugged terrain, and lifting up to 25 lbs
  • Valid driver's license and clean record preferred (opportunity to drive camp vehicles after training)

Perks of the Gig:

  • Live and work in breathtaking Granby, CO — Rocky Mountain views every day!
  • Room & board included (summer staff housing)
  • The chance to build an incredible portfolio
  • Be part of a century-old tradition shaping young lives
  • Make friends for life in a supportive, values-driven community

This isn't just an internship — it's your chance to turn summer magic into stories that last a lifetime.
