Sales Assistant Intern

 

The Sales Assistant Intern with River of Goods will be responsible for supporting two Ecommerce Sales Account Managers with tasks related to individual ecommerce accounts as well as customer service support. This position will work closely with the Sales team and the Merchandising team to ensure all product inquiries are answered timely and correctly. The customer service portion of this position will cover multiple accounts on several platforms. Customer service inquiries will be handled via email, chat functions and phone calls. The right individual for this role will have a curiosity for learning about ecommerce sales and will bring a positive attitude to this customer-facing role. 

 

This is a part-time internship. This position is budgeted for 10-15 hours per week. Flexibility with days and hours can be discussed. 

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Bazaarvoice:
    • Manage all interactions on Bazaarvoice, professional responses to reviews and questions.
    • Oversee future sample programs on the platform.
  • Product Analysis:
    • In-depth analysis of the current product catalog to identify internal competition and recommend strategies for SKUs on specific sites. 
    • Evaluate NEW products, determining target sites, pricing, and fit.
  • Customer Service:
    • Handle direct customer inquiries via Wayfair's new ticketing program.
    • Manage the ROG customer service/website inbox.
    • Manage BBB’s spreadsheet of customer service.
    • Manage customer service on all social media platforms.
  • Account Manager:
    • Provide dedicated account management for specific channels.
    • Elasticity to grow into sourcing and managing new accounts.
  • E-commerce Assistance:
    • Ensure the top 50 best-selling products are consistently live and accurate on Wayfair, BBB (Bed, Bath, and beyond), and Home Depot through a bi-weekly or monthly audit.
    • Proactively identify product drop-offs on these key platforms. 
  • Advertising
    • Understand the ecommerce market for home décor products.
    • Assist with brainstorming for advertising ROG products on existing ecommerce platforms, the ROG website and social media platforms.

This is a hybrid position and will require onsite work at least one day (either Tuesday or Wednesday) per week depending on scheduled workdays and times. 

 

Equipment to complete work related tasks will be provided. 

 

Education and Experience

  • This is an entry level position – 0-2 years of sales and customer service experience.
