I. WLS Level: 4
II. Description Of Duties For This Position:
- A.To teach and instruct Properties Manager WLS 3
- B.To coordinate the weekly and production schedules of the Properties Manger
- C.Coordinate the cleaning and storage of properties during the production run and strike.
- D.Research properties needs for all productions in consultation with the production scenic designer, director and Prop Master.
- E.Collect properties for all productions. (find, build, borrow, locate)
- Assist the Scene Shop Supervisor and Director in the locating and purchasing of props that are not in storage in inventory
- G.Oversee inventory of the properties in storage.
- H.Keep properties storage organized organized and clean at all times.
- Have an advanced operational knowledge of the machinery and tools located in the scenic studio. Be able to safely use the equipment.
- Have an advanced operational knowledge of the machinery located in the costume studio. Be able to use the equipment safely.
- K.When needed, design unique properties and scenic elements, under the supervision of the Scene Shop Supervisor and Director.

IV. Qualifications Needed For This Position:
- General qualifications include the ability to operate any and all equipment in the scenic shop.
- Ability to conduct research for theatrical productions.
- Ability to communicate and demonstrate leadership while working collegially.
- Skills and knowledge of theatrical properties practice.
- Ability to think creatively and frugally.
- Physical mobility and manual dexterity.
- Proficient reading, writing, critical thinking skills.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Independence and reliability, dependability, confidentiality, honesty.
- Be able to supervise lower lever workers is a fair and prudent manner.
- Student may work more independently to assure the timely completion of all production properties.
- Student will assume additional design responsibilities and will be able to justify choices made and will be able to make changes when necessary.
