Marketing Intern

Pay Range: $18.00 per hour

Working Remotely Classification: Upon Approval/Request            

Pay Grade: 4                             

 

Position Details
Full Time 40 hours per week, located at 1702 Avenue B, Cloquet, MN 55720 and surrounding area events

Paid Time Off: Accrue 5.54 hours per pay period, up to 48 hours per calendar year

Temporary positions not eligible for benefits

General Purpose: This position is responsible for assisting with various credit union programs, community relations, financial education, events, market research, advertising, promotional campaigns, and other marketing initiatives. 

 

Fundamental Duties

  1. Communication including social media posting and scheduling, working with area vendors to help design and proof advertising and campaigns, support member newsletter, support internal communications through the newsletter and the intranet.
  2. Content development, layout vendor contact for communications, including member and employee newsletter, website, email, brochures, social media, promotions, advertising, and more.
  3. Assist the Marketing Team with events; planning, advertising, internal communications, event staffing, other event details as well as maintaining the event calendar on the intranet. Attend and oversee events that will require attending on weekends and/or weeknights.

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities 

  1. Assist the Marketing Team with reporting and initiative tracking.
  2. Assist with daily administrative duties.
  3. Contribute to the creation of mock-ups, email campaigns, and social media content.

 

Other Duties/Responsibilities 

  1. Provide assistance to the Marketing Department with mail merges, reporting, proofreading, and research.
  2. Assist with projects, initiatives, and perform other duties as assigned.
  3. Drive a company vehicle as requested.
  4. Maintain organization and stock of promotional and event items in the Marketing Storage Room.
  5. Position requires the ability to work flexible hours, including occasional nights, weekends, and holidays.
  6. Position requires the flexibility to work at or from various locations including our various offices and event locations.

 

Job Qualifications (Knowledge)

  1. Familiarity with social media platforms.
  2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  6. Requires being able to lift up to 75 Lbs. onto tailgates, tables, carts, etc.

2.    Ability to communicate and interact in a professional and personable manner with members of the credit union, co-workers, in a classroom setting and with the general public.

4.   Ability to professionally handle confidential data.

 

Job Qualifications (Education/Experience)

  1. High school diploma or GED.
  2. Currently in an undergraduate program or enrolled in a class for marketing, communications, or a similar major.

Work Environment/Physical Activities

1.   Work environment is typical for an office.  Workstation may be a private office, cubical, or an open work area.  

2.   Job requires some physical effort and long periods of sitting or standing. 

3.   The job requires the ability to organize workload and complete various tasks within specified deadlines daily. 

4.   Work functions require attention to detail and accuracy as well as reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
