Users use Yummi to log food photos fast, track restaurants effortlessly, search/recall their food history, and discover spots through friends and foodies.

Yummi is already live with real users in over 100 countries—and we’re now in builder mode beyond our beta version: modernizing the look and feel, strengthening core UX, and shipping new features quickly. Our next big chapter includes a refreshed UI and AI-powered experiences that can auto-organize and summarize food photos (recaps, smart tags, and a personal food assistant). The role (high ownership)

We’re looking for a UI/UX Design Intern or New Grad who’s an independent thinker and self-starter—someone excited about startups and building a business. You’ll work closely with the founder and engineering to ship real product improvements fast.

What you’ll work on

  • New app “skin” / UI refresh: propose a modern visual direction + update key screens
  • Core UX improvements: make logging, browsing, and search/recall smoother and more intuitive
  • Subscription/paywall screens: design upgrade flows that feel premium and convert
  • AI feature prototypes: help shape AI UX (smart tags, recaps, summaries) with simple, trustworthy interactions
  • Figma prototypes + handoff: components, specs, and assets engineers can ship

What we’re looking for

  • Portfolio showing strong mobile UI + UX thinking
  • Solid Figma skills (Auto Layout, components, prototyping)
  • Comfortable working in a startup environment: move fast, iterate, communicate clearly
  • Bonus: experience with subscription/paywall design (or strong interest in AI product UX)
  • BONUS if you're a foodie! :P
