About the Role

We’re looking for a passionate, creative, and self-motivated Social Media Content Creator who understands that long-term growth on social media takes strategy, consistency, and constant innovation. You’ll be responsible for planning, filming, editing, and publishing short-form videos that educate, entertain, and inspire homeowners while driving measurable brand recognition and product sales.

In this role, you’ll take full ownership of the content process—from brainstorming ideas and testing new concepts to reviewing analytics and adjusting your approach when videos don’t perform well. You’ll have creative control, but also the responsibility to experiment, iterate, and find what works.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and produce content: Create 2–3 short-form videos per week optimized for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook.
  • Own the entire video process: From concept to final post, take charge of brainstorming, scripting, filming, and editing.
  • Apply the “Hook, Retention, Reward” framework: Capture attention quickly, maintain interest, and deliver real value.
  • Include at least one of the “Four E’s” of value: Ensure every video is Educational, Entertaining, Experiential, or Emotional.
  • Be comfortable on camera: Represent the FireAvert brand with an authentic and engaging presence.
  • Track performance and adapt: Analyze metrics, experiment with new formats, and continuously refine your creative approach based on results.
  • Develop recurring video series: Consistent topics may include kitchen safety, cooking tips, fire science, and FireAvert updates.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team: Align themes and strategy with broader brand goals.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience creating short-form social content (portfolio or samples required).
  • Deep understanding of engagement strategy and content testing.
  • Strong grasp of storytelling and audience retention.
  • Analytical thinker who’s motivated by improvement and performance tracking.
  • Proficient with social media tools and editing software.
