Human Resources Intern
JOB DESCRIPTION
Support human resources on the development and implementation of our people strategy. This position will enable an individual to put theory into practice and build on the knowledge you have learned in the classroom.
Status: Internship | Seasonal | Non-Exempt | Part Time
Responsibilities:
Support the OEC human resources team with the following tasks, to include:
• Assist in the creation of policies and standards for the department.
• Assist in development and execution of on-boarding activities, to include orientation, training, and continuous feedback.
• Participate in development of projects (i.e., corporate-wide internship programming, continuous performance feedback, change management).
• Support payroll, office administration, and other generalist activities.
• Participate in other duties as assigned.
Ideal candidates will possess the following qualifications / Knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Undergraduate student (Junior / Senior)
- Knowledge in Human Resources and payroll practices
- Detail oriented
- Organized
- Confidential; ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
- Accurate data input skills
- Proficient in MS Office 365
- Strong interpersonal skills; strong communication skills
Education and/or Experience:
Actively working towards a 4-year degree in Human Resource Management, Business or related field. Any combination of education and/or work experience will substitute for minimum qualifications.
Performance Standards: Employee will be reviewed annually on his/her ability to achieve the outcomes stated above. The employee must work safely at all times and maintain the confidentiality of all department, company, and customer information.
