Job Type: Full-time, Temporary
Primary Focus: Rugby Grille Training
- Hotel and departmental orientations
- Train on Forbes standards
- Shadow restaurant positions to become familiar with duties of each role - Room Dining, Host person, Server - Assistant, Tea Server (1-2 weeks)
- F&B Management Shadow (1-2 weeks)
- Skills focused on:
· Learning the position details of the four F&B roles above
· Learning the POS system
· Cash handling/tip-out procedures
- Participate in daily pre-shift meetings
- Attend hotel training, if applicable
Primary Focus: Executive of F&B Supervisory Role
- Both AM/PM Shifts
- Skills focused on:
· Restaurant Floor Supervising
· Tea Reservation System
· Food Costing
· Menu creation
· Scheduling
· Special Events
· Management skills
- Participate in daily pre-shift meetings
- Attend 9:00 AM management stand up with assigned manager
- Complete special project, if applicable
Primary Focus: Banquet & Catering Department Shadow
- Participate in daily pre-shift meetings
- Shadow Banquet and Catering team in departmental roles, as applicable. Examples include:
· Banquet Captain shadow
· Hourly Banquet role(s) shadow – i.e. Banquet Server, Banquet Set Up
· Catering Sales team shadow – day of event shadow, in-office shadow, etc.
- Work in Rugby Grille, when needed
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Education and Experience:
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Pursuing a degree in Hospitality or Food Management highly preferred.
· Previous related experience a plus.
Physical Requirements:
· Must be able to lift 40 pounds at times.
· Must be able to access and navigate departments at the organization’s facilities.
