Location: Rome’s Joy Companies – Chicago, IL
Schedule: Approximately 15 hours per week
Position Type: Part-Time Internship
Pay: $16.60/hour
Duration: February 2026 – December 2026
Position Overview
Rome’s Joy Companies is seeking motivated and curious young adults to join our team as Culinary & Hospitality Interns. This internship provides hands-on experience in the food service and hospitality industry while building professional, workplace-ready skills.
Interns will work alongside experienced culinary and hospitality professionals in a supportive, fast-paced environment that values learning, teamwork, and excellence. Interns may be placed at one or more of our locations: Peach’s on 47th (Restaurant), Rome’s Joy Catering, Parkway Social (Event Space & Social Club)
Internship Positions
Back-of-House Management Intern
Works in the kitchen at Peach’s on 47th, supporting daily restaurant culinary operations. Responsibilities include assisting with food prep, cooking, plating, and kitchen organization. Interns follow food safety and sanitation standards, maintain clean and efficient workstations, and support service during peak hours while learning restaurant kitchen leadership, workflow, and quality control.

Qualifications
- Ages 18–24
- Interest in culinary arts, hospitality, or food service
- Prior experience in serving, customer service, or kitchen work preferred
- Willingness to learn, take direction, and work as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and professional in behavior and appearance
Schedule Expectations
- Approximately 15 hours per week
- Flexible scheduling to accommodate school commitments
- May include afternoons, evenings, and weekends
